The government has promoted 196 officials to the rank of Joint Secretary, as per two separate notifications issued by the Ministry of Public Administration on Thursday.
One notification lists 194 officials, while the other includes two officials currently posted abroad. All of them previously held the position of Deputy Secretary.
According to the notification, if any promoted official has already been reassigned to a different office, they must submit their joining letter mentioning their current workplace. The authorities reserve the right to amend or revoke the promotion if any adverse information is found against any official.
Promoted officials must submit their joining letters directly to the Senior Secretary of the Ministry of Public Administration or via email at sa1@mopa.gov.bd. The order has been issued in the public interest and takes immediate effect.
