2 children drown in Bhola

Two children, who were cousins, drowned in a pond in Daulatkhan upazila of Bhola district on Wednesday night.

The deceased were Fatema, 6, daughter of Md Shakil of Didarullah village and Zobaida, 4, daughter of Md Hossain of the same village.

Family members said the two kids were playing at courtyard of their house when they accidentally fell into the pond.

After 6 to 7 hours, Zobaida’s body was found floating in the pond around 10pm and then Fatema’s body was recovered.

Zillur Rahman, the Officer-in-Charge of Daulatkhan Police Station, said an unnatural death case was filed.
