Three passengers of a CNG-run autorickshaw were killed early Thursday after a bus of ‘Duranta Paribahan’ collided head-on with the vehicle in Brahmanbaria’s Nabinagar upazila.
The deceased were identified as Abul Kashem (55), Shohag Miah (19), and Nurul Alam (55), according to police.
Nabinagar Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Abdur Razzak said the autorickshaw was en route to Companiganj from Nabinagar when the speeding bus, coming from the opposite direction, struck it near Etimkhana Road, killing all three passengers on the spot.
Police seized the bus after the incident, but the driver managed to flee, the OC added. Legal action is underway.
