At least 31 Palestinians were killed and over 50 others wounded in the past 24 hours as Israeli airstrikes battered Gaza, raising the death toll in the besieged enclave to 52,418, according to Al Jazeera’s live report on Friday.

Israeli assaults on the Gaza Strip persisted on Thursday and into early Friday, resulting in another deadly day for the war-torn region. Medical sources confirmed that at least 31 people lost their lives in the latest wave of attacks, while dozens more were injured, some critically.

According to the Palestinian Information Center and Quds News Network, Israeli forces launched a bombing raid on the home of the Abu Zeina family in the Bureij refugee camp, located in central Gaza. The strike killed at least five members of the family.

Meanwhile, heavy shelling was also reported in southern Gaza’s Khan Younis area. Al Jazeera Arabic’s correspondent in Gaza stated that Israeli military units fired artillery rounds into a residential house in the Sheikh Nasser neighborhood, injuring several civilians.

The death toll continues to rise as Israel intensifies its military campaign across Gaza, further deepening the humanitarian crisis in the enclave already suffering from widespread destruction, displacement, and medical shortages.
