Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) has said that a heatwave is sweeping across 36 districts of the country, and it may continue in these districts.
The temperature may increase during the day, while it may remain unchanged during the night, according to the latest bulletin at 9 AM on Tuesday.
More than half of the country is experiencing heatwave conditions, while the rest is also facing sweltering weather.
Light to moderate rain with gusty winds may occur at one to two places in Mymensingh, Dhaka, Khulna, and Barishal divisions and in Chittagong and Sylhet divisions by 9 AM on Wednesday, the BMD predicted.
The temperature may fall by 1-2 degrees Celsius across the country.
The weather forecast for the next 120 hours from 9 AM on Tuesday said that the monsoon is less active over Bangladesh and moderate in the north Bay of Bengal.
