Strict Restrictions on Candidates

The Election Commission has also imposed a series of restrictions to ensure a fair electoral environment.

According to a notification signed by Chief Returning Officer Prof. Dr. Mohammad Jasim Uddin, from now until September 10, 2025, candidates are prohibited from engaging in service-oriented activities, distributing gifts, offering financial assistance, arranging entertainment, or any similar acts.

Violation will be treated as a breach of the election code of conduct.

The commission said the restrictions aim to maintain neutrality and fairness in the long-awaited student union elections.
