Gazipur Metropolitan Police have detained 54 individuals in connection with a violent attack on the vehicle of National Citizen Party (NCP) South Coordinator Hasnat Abdullah.

In a swift response to Saturday evening’s assault on National Citizen Party (NCP) South Coordinator Hasnat Abdullah, Gazipur Metropolitan Police launched a citywide operation resulting in the arrest of 54 suspects. The arrests began late Sunday night and continued into Monday, according to Police Commissioner Dr. Nazmul Karim Khan.

Authorities stated that the attack occurred at the Chandana Chowrasta area of Gazipur when unidentified assailants riding motorcycles struck Hasnat Abdullah’s vehicle from behind. The vehicle’s window was shattered, and Abdullah sustained injuries. His driver claimed the attackers deliberately targeted the car and quickly fled the scene after causing damage.
