Joint forces have arrested 60 people in a raid at Tongi in Gazipur district on Saturday.
The raid was conducted in Mazar slum area from evening to 9 pm.
Gazipur District Administration Executive Magistrate Mohammad Raihanul Islam said that the Army, BGB, RAB and Police jointly conducted a raid in Tongi’s Mazar slum area. At one stage, the joint forces surrounded the Tongir Mazar slum. Later, 60 people involved in various crimes including theft, robbery, drug dealers and terrorists were arrested.
At that time, various types of drugs and domestic weapons were seized from their possessions. Legal action against the detainees is under process.
