The National Citizen Party (NCP) is set to submit a list of recommendations to the National Consensus Commission on Sunday. The proposals include lowering the voting age to 16 and the minimum age for election candidates to 23.
On Saturday morning, during an emergency press conference at Rupayan Centre in the capital, NCP’s joint convener Sarwar Tushar made this announcement.
He stated, “Tomorrow, Sunday, we will submit our reform proposals to the National Consensus Commission. These will include the proposal to lower the voting age to 16 and the minimum age for candidates to 23.”
