A BNP delegation has begun talks with the National Consensus Commission to present its views on proposed political and institutional reforms.

The meeting started at 10:30 AM on Thursday at the LD Hall of the National Parliament building. The BNP team is expected to express its stance on the recommendations made by five separate reform commissions.

The four-member BNP delegation is led by Standing Committee Member Salahuddin Ahmed. Other members include Standing Committee Member Nazrul Islam Khan, Chairperson’s Advisory Council Member Ismail Zabihullah, and Central Executive Member Barrister Ruhul Quddus Kajol.

According to party sources, the BNP will emphasize the need for structural political reforms, electoral fairness, and restoration of democratic norms. The dialogue is seen as part of a broader attempt to reduce political polarization and promote inclusive governance.

Observers believe this engagement marks a cautious but significant step toward bridging political divides, particularly ahead of future national elections.
