The High Court on Wednesday directed the authorities to reinstate Md Sharif Uddin, a former deputy assistant director of the Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC), who was dismissed from service in 2022.
The bench of Justice Md Rezaul Hasan and Justice Biswajit Debnath also ordered that he be paid all due salaries and benefits.
Sharif, who came to public attention for his work during the Awami League government’s tenure, was terminated by the ACC on 16 February 2022.
His lawyer, Salah Uddin Dolon, told reporters that the court declared the dismissal order void ab initio and instructed that Sharif be reinstated within 30 days with full seniority and entitlements.
