The Jagannath University administration on Tuesday temporarily suspended Associate Prof Ferdousi Khatun of the Bangla department on charges of moral misconduct.
The information was confirmed in a notice issued by the university’s acting registrar, Dr Md Sheikh Gias Uddin.
According to the office order, the Associate Prof has also been barred from entering the campus.
The notice states that several allegations have been brought against her, including marking attendance for two classes while conducting only one, negligence and arbitrariness in awarding continuous assessment marks, use of indecent language, making offensive remarks, and issuing threats toward teachers and university officials.
Such behavior violates the Jagannath University Act, 2005, as well as the Government Servants (Discipline and Appeal) Rules, 2018, the order said.
