Four people died from dengue in the last 24 hours till Sunday morning, taking this year’s total death toll to 122.
Meanwhile, 568 new patients were admitted to hospitals across the country over the same period, according to the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).
Among the latest cases, 110 were admitted to hospitals in Barishal division, 93 in Chattogram division, 114 in Dhaka division, 67 in Dhaka North City Corporation, 82 in Dhaka South City Corporation, 42 in Khulna division, 16 in Mymensingh division, 39 in Rajshahi division, and three in Sylhet division.
With the fresh figures, the caseload reached 31,476 this year, the DGHS said.
Currently, 1,486 patients are undergoing treatment for dengue in different hospitals across the country.
Last year, dengue claimed the lives of 575 people.
According to the DGHS, there were 1,01,214 dengue cases and 1,00,040 recoveries in the same year.
