From today, citizens across Bangladesh can file General Diaries (GD) online at all police stations, including 24 Railway Police Stations in six districts. With this rollout, online GD services are now available nationwide, allowing people to report incidents conveniently from home without visiting police stations. The initiative has been approved under the caretaker government led by Chief Adviser Dr. Muhammad Yunus, aiming to make police services faster and more accessible.
According to Police Headquarters, users can download the ‘Online GD’ app from the Google Play Store, register once, and file GDs anytime without repeated sign-ups. A dedicated 24/7 hotline (01320001428) is also available for assistance with registration or technical issues. Officials said the service demonstrates Bangladesh Police’s commitment to bringing law enforcement services closer to citizens in the most convenient way.
