Chipmaker company NVIDIA has launched an initiative to offer 19 AI courses for free. Normally, each of these courses would cost up to $90. These courses are part of the NVIDIA Developer Program. The goal of this initiative is to provide developers and technology enthusiasts with cutting-edge knowledge in artificial intelligence (AI) and data science.
The courses are divided into five main categories, such as: Generative AI and Large Language Models (LLM), Graphics and Simulation, Accelerated Computing, Data Science, and Deep Learning.
All that can be learned from the course:
Each course is designed to be self-paced, with durations ranging from two to eight hours, allowing learners to take the course at their own convenience and speed. For example, in the Generative AI and LLM section, there is the highly popular Prompt Engineering with Llama 2 course, which teaches users how to effectively use natural language models.
On the other hand, the Deep Learning section features eight courses, making it the largest section of the program.
To take advantage of this opportunity, one needs to join NVIDIA’s free Developer Program. Once registered, you will have access to the entire course catalog and can learn at your own pace.
NVIDIA made this announcement at a time when the AI model technology ‘AR1’ from China’s startup DeepSeek is creating a stir in the tech world.
This model has gained a reputation for its excellent capabilities, cost-effectiveness in training, and ability to be installed and run on standard devices. Like OpenAI’s ChatGPT, this model is quite effective.
Recently, the rise of DeepSeek AI has caused a stir in the stock market. Due to this model, NVIDIA’s market value dropped by a record $600 billion last week, marking the largest single-day loss in U.S. history for any company. This amount is more than the combined market value of approximately 13 companies.
The market values of Meta and Google’s parent company Alphabet have also significantly decreased. Similarly, the market values of NVIDIA’s competitors such as Marvel, Broadcom, Micron, and TSMC have also fallen. Other data center companies, including Oracle, Vertiv, Constellation, and NewScale, have seen significant market value declines as well.
Although the DeepSeek AR1 model was trained using NVIDIA’s H800 chip, the trained model uses Huawei’s Ascend 910C GPU to operate in real-world conditions. As a result, this innovation has reduced reliance on U.S. technology.
