A court on Wednesday placed former law minister Anisul Huq on a three-day demand in a case lodged over the murder of student Ashik in Sonargaon of Narayanganj during the student-led July-August mass uprising.
The hearing of the case and remand was held at the Senior Judicial Magistrate Md Noor Mohsin’s court.
Liberty News’ court correspondent reports that Police produced Anisul Huq before the court and pleaded for a five-day remand. However, lawyers asked for a 10-day remand, causing a chaotic situation in the court. Later, the court ordered a three-day remand.
