The Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) has asked 17 officials of the National Board of Revenue (NBR) to submit their wealth statements, amid allegations of amassing assets through unlawful means.
ACC Director General Akhtar Hossain announced the decision at a press briefing held at the commission’s headquarters in Segunbagicha, Dhaka, on Tuesday.
He said the move came after investigators gathered evidence indicating that the officials had accumulated wealth through dishonest practices.
