Popular actress Nusrat Faria was detained at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport on Sunday afternoon while preparing to travel to Thailand.
Airport immigration police confirmed the detention and stated that she is currently being interrogated. Sources say a pending attempted murder case, filed during the 2024 Students Against Discrimination movement under Dhaka’s Bhatara Police Station, may be linked to the action. Further details are yet to be disclosed.
