Bangladesh Railway began selling advance tickets for Eid-ul-Azha-bound intercity trains on Wednesday, with thousands rushing to secure seats ahead of the upcoming holiday, which is scheduled for June 7.
Bangladesh Railway began advance ticket sales for Eid-ul-Azha-bound intercity trains from Wednesday, ahead of the religious holiday expected on June 7. As per the railway ministry, outbound tickets are being sold 10 days prior to travel dates.
Tickets for May 31 journeys are available today—westbound tickets from 8:00 am and eastbound tickets from 2:00 pm. Sales for subsequent dates will follow until May 27, covering travel dates up to June 6. Return tickets for post-Eid travel will go on sale from May 30 to June 5, covering June 9 to 15.
Passengers can book tickets online through the official website https://railapp.railway.gov.bd. New users must register by providing personal details and verifying their mobile number with an OTP, while registered users can log in directly to purchase tickets.
Railway authorities have urged passengers to complete registrations early to avoid last-minute issues.
