In response to the United States imposing a 37% tariff on Bangladeshi goods, the Chief Adviser of the interim government, Professor Muhammad Yunus, has called for an emergency meeting.

An urgent meeting has been scheduled for this evening to address the issue of the recent tariff imposition by the United States. The meeting follows the decision by US President Donald Trump to impose a 37% tariff on Bangladeshi imports, which has raised concerns about the risks to Bangladesh’s export sector.

The interim government has already begun preparations to address these challenges and mitigate the potential impact on Bangladesh’s economy. The government is expected to discuss strategies to respond to the US’s trade policy move and safeguard the country’s export interests.
