One more devotee, who joined the second part of the first phase of the 58th Biswa Ijtema, died at the Ijtema venue in Tongi, Gazipur on Monday night. This brings the total death toll of devotees dying during this year’s Ijtema to 7.
The deceased was identified as Ameer Hossain, 65. He was from Muksudpur of Gopalganj. He died at the Khitta number 31 at around 11pm. His namaz-e-janaza was held at the Ijtema ground after the fazr prayers.
Liberty News’ local correspondent reports that devotees from at least 22 districts of the country have taken part in the second part of the first phase of the 58th Biswa Ijtema. It will end in an Akheri Munajat on Thursday (February 5). After an interval, Maulana Saad followers will commence the second phase of the Ijtema on February 14.
