Today at approximately 13:50, under precise intelligence, the 6th Independent AD Brigade of the Bangladesh Army launched a special operation in the Karwan Bazar–BFDC Rail Gate area of the capital. During the operation, the Army apprehended two top-level terror suspects — Md. Abu Bakkar Siddiq, also known as “Kala Siddiq,” and one Milon — who were found consuming narcotics at a construction site.
During a search of the premises, the operation team recovered a Spanish pistol along with three rounds of ammunition from the suspects. Both Siddiq and Milon were closely associated with notorious terrorist leader Subrata Bain, and involved in multiple criminal activities.
After preliminary interrogation, the individuals have been handed over to police for further legal proceedings.
The Bangladesh Army reiterates its unwavering commitment to public safety, law and order, and national security. Coordinated operations like this will continue in the future to combat terrorism, sabotage, and crime.
