Army Chief visits China to improve military cooperation

Army Chief of Staff General Waker-uz-Zaman has reached China on a six-day tour, the Bangladesh Army confirmed in a press statement on Thursday.

Waker-uz-Zaman would hold discussions with Chinese authorities on improving bilateral military cooperation, said the statement published on the Army’s official Facebook page.

He would also pay courtesy calls on military and non-military high officials of China during the tour.

On 27 August, the army chief would return to the country.
