An arrest warrant has been issued against Md. Ayub Ali, Chairman, and Md. Ripon Miah, Managing Director (MD) of the e-commerce company QCom.com Limited, in a case filed on charges of fraud. On Thursday, Dhaka’s Metropolitan Magistrate Jashita Islam issued the arrest order.
The chairman and MD were supposed to appear in court today, but as they failed to do so, the court, based on the plaintiff’s request, ordered the arrest warrant. The plaintiff’s lawyer Sakibul Islam confirmed this development.
On August 13th last year, Mehdi Hasan Faisal, the owner of Three S Corporation, filed a case against the Chairman and Managing Director of QCom.com Limited for fraud.
In the lawsuit, it is alleged that on June 27th, 2021, during the “Big Billion Returns” campaign by the e-commerce company, QCom.com, Faisal placed an order worth 82,44,160 Taka for goods. However, the company failed to deliver the goods within the specified time and did not return the money either.
