New warrants : 6 cops and 2 politicians to be arrested

The International Crimes Tribunal has issued arrest warrants for eight individuals, including six police officers, in connection with the July-August genocide case. The announcement was made by Chief Prosecutor Mohammad Tajul Islam during a briefing at the tribunal on Monday.

The arrest warrants target six police officers and two prominent figures affiliated with the ruling Awami League. According to the tribunal’s investigation agency, substantial evidence has been found linking the suspects directly to the crimes.

Liberty News’ Court correspondent reports Tajul Islam confirmed that arrest warrants were issued in relation to four separate petitions, involving a total of eight individuals. The tribunal’s investigation has revealed their active involvement in the alleged atrocities.
