Law Adviser Dr. Asif Nazrul has stated that out of the 16,429 ‘ghost’ cases filed during the ousted Awami League government, 1,214 will be withdrawn.
He made this statement at a press conference held on Tuesday at the conference room of the Ministry of Law in the Secretariat.
The Law Adviser mentioned that among the cases related to the anti-discrimination movement, genocide, and previous cases of abduction and murder, the verdicts for three to four cases are expected to be delivered by October. In these cases, former Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, Awami League leaders, and activists have been named as accused.
