Bangladesh announce squad for 2025 Asia Cup and T20I series

The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) has unveiled its squad for the 2025 Asia Cup, scheduled to be held in the United Arab Emirates from 9 to 28 September. The same squad will also represent Bangladesh in the upcoming three-match T20I series against the Netherlands in Sylhet, beginning on 30 August.

Wicketkeeper-batsman Nurul Hasan Sohan returns to the T20 side after nearly three years. The 31-year-old last featured in this format against Pakistan during the ICC T20 World Cup in Australia in November 2022.

Saif Hassan, who has played five T20Is and last appeared in the 2023 Asian Games, also makes a comeback to the national squad.

Meanwhile, Mohammad Naim Sheikh and Mehidy Hasan Miraz have been left out of the main squad, while the latter has been included as a standby player.
