Ten Bangladeshi cricketers departed for the UAE on Wednesday morning ahead of the two-match T20 series, with pacer Hasan Mahmud declaring the team’s sole aim — a series victory.

The Bangladesh national cricket team is determined to clinch the T20 series against the United Arab Emirates, leaving no room for alternative outcomes. Fast bowler Hasan Mahmud, who boarded the early flight along with nine other teammates, emphasized their winning mindset.

“Our only expectation is to win the series, In Shaa Allah. Nothing else,” Hasan told reporters before departure.

Alongside Hasan, the first group included Nahid Rana, Rishad Hossain, Shamim Hossain, Tanzim Hasan Sakib, and Parvez Hossain Emon. The remaining squad members, including skipper Litton Das, are scheduled to fly later in the evening.

The two-match T20 series will take place at the Sharjah Cricket Stadium, with the first game slated for May 17 and the final encounter set for May 19.

Team management expressed confidence in the squad’s form and focus, hoping to utilize the series as both a confidence booster and preparation for upcoming international fixtures.
