Bangladesh faces host India today in the final of the SAFF U-19 Championship, with both sides eyeing the coveted title.

The final showdown will take place at the Golden Jubilee Stadium in Arunachal Pradesh, kicking off at 7:30 PM Bangladesh time. After a mixed group-stage performance—drawing 2-2 with the Maldives and beating Bhutan 3-0—Bangladesh secured a spot in the final by edging past Nepal 2-1 in the semifinal.

Bangladesh head coach Golam Rabbani Choton expressed confidence ahead of the final, saying, “Our boys have played good football throughout the tournament and have learned a lot. Now they are confident and fully prepared for the final.”

Captain Nazmul Huda Faisal, eager to make a mark against the hosts, said, “Finals always bring excitement. Both teams will want to win and take the trophy home. We’ve come here to fulfill our mission. InshAllah, we’ll return home as champions.”

Acknowledging India’s strength, Faisal added, “India is a strong team, and we respect them. But we’re focused on our goal and will give our hundred percent.”

India, playing on home soil, will be equally determined to lift the trophy—setting the stage for an intense battle between the region’s youth football powerhouses.
