Bangladesh managed 255 runs in their second innings of the Sylhet Test, setting Zimbabwe a 173-run target after a shaky start on Day Four.

The fourth morning of the Sylhet Test proved challenging for Bangladesh, with the top order collapsing quickly against disciplined Zimbabwean bowling. Overnight unbeaten batter Najmul Hossain Shanto departed on the second ball of the day, followed closely by Mehidy Hasan Miraz.

However, some resistance came from Zakir Hasan and tailender Hasan Mahmud. Hasan contributed a gritty 35 off 91 deliveries, while Zakir anchored the innings with a composed 58 off 111 balls, striking four boundaries and a six.

Despite their efforts, Bangladesh could not extend their lead significantly. The innings wrapped up at 255, giving them a modest lead of 173 runs.

Zimbabwean pacer Blessing Muzarabani led the bowling attack with a brilliant five-wicket haul, while Wellington Masakadza claimed two scalps.

The match now hangs in balance, with Zimbabwe eyeing a manageable chase on a pitch that still has something for the bowlers.
