Pakistan captain Salman Agha opted to bowl first after winning the toss in the third and final T20I against Bangladesh at the Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore on Sunday.

With the hosts already sealing the three-match series 2–0, the final match presents a chance for Pakistan to experiment and Bangladesh to salvage some pride.

Having chosen to bat first in the previous two encounters, Salman said the team wanted to switch things up and try defending a target this time. “We’re looking to restrict Bangladesh to a below-par score,” he added during the toss.

Pakistan made a solitary change, resting pace spearhead Haris Rauf and handing a game to Abbas Afridi. Bangladesh also made one forced change — Shoriful Islam was ruled out due to a groin injury sustained in the second T20I. He was replaced by Khaled Ahmed, who made his T20I debut.

The previous matches saw dominant performances from Pakistan, both in batting and bowling, which ensured convincing victories and an unassailable series lead.
