Bangladesh’s struggles in the shortest format of the game continue as the national team has dropped to 10th place in the latest ICC T20I rankings, following back-to-back series losses.

After recently falling to 10th in the ICC ODI rankings, Bangladesh have now suffered the same fate in T20 Internationals. The team, led by Liton Das, slipped from 9th to 10th place in the latest update, reflecting a series of disappointing performances.

Phil Simmons’ side lost four consecutive matches across two series—most recently suffering a 2-0 series defeat to Pakistan, following a 2-1 loss against the UAE. These defeats have cost Bangladesh 5 valuable rating points, bringing their total down to 220.

Their slide has allowed Afghanistan to climb to 9th place, despite not gaining any new rating points. Afghanistan remain at 223 points, while Ireland occupy the 11th spot with 202 points.

India sit comfortably at the top of the T20I rankings with 271 points. They are followed by Australia (262), England (254), New Zealand (249), and West Indies (246) to round off the top five.

The recent downturn in form has raised concerns among fans and analysts, with calls for urgent restructuring ahead of upcoming international fixtures.
