A 27-member Bangladeshi team is set to participate in the ISF Gymnasiade U-15 School Summer Games 2025, which kicks off on April 4 in Zlatibor, Serbia. The international multi-sport event will conclude on April 14.
This year’s edition of the School Summer Games will see 3,535 athletes and officials from around the world competing across 22 disciplines. Bangladesh will participate in seven sports: archery, badminton, boxing, athletics, judo, swimming, and table tennis.
The Bangladeshi contingent includes athletes, coaches, and officials. Mohammad Robiul Alam, General Secretary of the Bangladesh School Sports Association, will lead the team as Head of Delegation. The team is scheduled to depart for Serbia tonight.
Ahead of their departure, a jersey unveiling and team introduction ceremony was held on Thursday at a prestigious hotel in Bashundhara, Dhaka. The event was presided over by Brigadier General Mohammad Munirul Islam, the newly elected President of the Bangladesh School Sports Association. Special guest Kazi Anarkoli, Director General (South America Wing) of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, also attended the program.
