The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) has recently been embroiled in multiple controversies. In particular, allegations of spot-fixing have surfaced in several matches of the ongoing Bangladesh Premier League (BPL), prompting BCB to take the matter seriously. The board’s Anti-Corruption Unit (ACU) is already conducting an investigation into the issue.

To support this effort, BCB has now announced the formation of an independent investigation committee. This three-member committee consists of a former justice, a former cricketer, and an international legal expert. Their role will be to provide independent opinions and assist both the board and the ACU in the investigation.

Liberty News’ sports correspondent reports that the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) confirmed the formation of this independent investigation committee through a press release yesterday.

The press release stated that the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) has formed an independent investigation committee to assist the board and the BCB Anti-Corruption Unit (ACU) in ethical matters and investigations. The three-member committee is chaired by former Appellate Division Justice Mirza Hossain Haider. The other two members are former cricketer Shakil Kasem and international legal expert Dr. Khaled H. Chowdhury.
