Legendary cricketer Sachin Tendulkar has been awarded the prestigious C.K. Nayudu Lifetime Achievement Award by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI).
In a momentous ceremony held on Saturday, February 1, in Mumbai, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) presented the C.K. Nayudu Lifetime Achievement Award to cricket icon Sachin Tendulkar. This honor recognizes the immense contributions of Tendulkar to Indian cricket and marks his inclusion as the 31st recipient of this esteemed award.
Named after India’s first cricket captain, C.K. Nayudu, the Lifetime Achievement Award has been presented annually by the BCCI since 1994. Tendulkar’s remarkable career, spanning over two decades, is celebrated for its record-breaking feats.
Liberty News’ sports correspondent states Tendulkar played 200 Test matches and 463 One-Day Internationals (ODIs), making him the cricketer with the most matches in these two formats. His achievements include an astonishing 18,426 runs in ODIs and 15,921 runs in Tests. He is also the only cricketer to have scored 100 international centuries, a feat that remains unmatched in world cricket.
