BNP and allies set to visit China led by Dr. Moin Khan

A 16-member delegation from BNP and its allied parties, led by Dr. Moin Khan, is preparing for a visit to China at the invitation of the Chinese Communist Party, with a planned departure on February 21.

In response to an invitation from the Chinese Communist Party, Dr. Moin Khan, a senior member of the BNP Standing Committee, will lead a 16-member delegation on an official visit to China. The delegation, which includes key figures from BNP and its allied parties, has already submitted two lists to the Chinese Embassy in Dhaka, both signed by BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir.

The delegation consists of BNP leaders such as Dr. Abdul Moin Khan, Vice-Chairman Altaf Hossain Chowdhury, Joint Secretary General Shahid Uddin Chowdhury Annie, Youth Wing General Secretary Nurul Islam Nayan, and others. Additionally, leaders from alliance parties, including Mahmudur Rahman Manna of Nagarik Oikya, Saiful Haque of the Revolutionary Workers Party, and others, are also part of the group.

The delegation is expected to depart on February 21, and discussions with Chinese officials on bilateral matters are anticipated during the visit. While BNP’s media cell member, Shairul Kabir Khan, confirmed the trip, he mentioned that specific details are still awaited.

Liberty News’ political correspondent states leaders from the alliance partners have expressed their expectations for discussions on mutual interests. Saiful Haque of the Revolutionary Workers Party and Bobby Hajjaj of the Nationalist Democratic Movement (NDM) also confirmed the visit but indicated that the agenda for the talks has not been finalized. Additionally, Syed Ehsanul Huda, Chairman of the Bangladesh National Party and coordinator of the 12-party alliance, noted that the exact date of departure is still to be confirmed.
