In discussions with Chief Adviser Dr Muhammad Yunus, the BNP has demanded a roadmap for the elections by December, as well as the restructuring of the Advisory Council, excluding ‘controversial’ advisers.

BNP Standing Committee member Abdul Moyeen Khan made the remarks at a press briefing after the meeting on Saturday night.

A meeting of a BNP delegation with the interim government’s Chief Adviser Professor Dr Muhammad Yunus was held on Saturday.

The meeting began at 7:35 pm at the Chief Adviser’s residence Jamuna in Dhaka.

BNP Standing Committee Member Dr Khandaker Mosharraf Hossain led the delegation comprising its Standing Committee members Dr Abdul Moin Khan, Amir Khasru Mahmud Chowdhury, and Salahuddin Ahmed.

BNP Media Cell Member Shairul Kabir Khan confirmed the matter to The Daily Samakal.

Earlier on Friday, BNP Standing Committee Member Salahuddin Ahmed complained that he had not been able to find schedule to meet the Chief Advisor for four-five days despite asking for timing.

Later on Friday night, it was learned that BNP has been invited for a meeting with the Chief Adviser Dr Yunus.

Meanwhile, it is reported that after the meeting with BNP, the Chief Adviser Professor Yunus will hold meetings with Jamaat-e-Islami and Jatiya Nagorik Party.
