A clash between two factions of the BNP in Shahzadpur, Sirajganj, resulted in at least 15 injured, including Golam Sarwar, a member of the district BNP’s conference preparation committee.
Liberty News’ local correspondent states that the incident occurred on Saturday (February 8) at the BNP office in Shahzadpur, where supporters of Dr. M.A. Muhit attacked Golam Sarwar and his supporters. The injured included key party figures like Abdul Quddus, MA Halim Khan, and others from Shahzadpur’s BNP and volunteer wings. Sarwar claimed the attack was orchestrated by Muhit’s faction when he attempted to enter the party office. Police have been dispatched to control the situation.
