The Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) is set to hold a crucial meeting with the Chief Adviser on Wednesday, seeking clarity on a concrete roadmap for the upcoming national elections.

BNP leaders, led by party Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir, will meet the Chief Adviser at 12 PM on Wednesday, according to sources from the Chief Adviser’s office. The meeting comes in response to a formal request by the BNP to discuss election-related matters, including a defined electoral roadmap and the government’s stance on the political process.

The meeting will take place at the office of Nobel laureate Dr. Muhammad Yunus, confirmed BNP’s press wing on Tuesday evening. Party insiders say discussions will focus on dispelling confusion surrounding the upcoming national polls, gauging the government’s intentions, and addressing the prevailing political climate.

Additionally, BNP is scheduled to meet with the National Consensus Commission on Thursday at 3 PM to discuss reform issues and push for broader political unity.

Liberty News’ political correspondent states that the back-to-back meetings are seen as part of the BNP’s strategic effort to engage all stakeholders amid a tense political environment and increasing public demand for electoral transparency.
