BNP leader Saiful Islam Nirab co-ordinated the workshop with the direction of Mr. Tarique Rahman.
The speakers in the workshop said amongst other things – “After Sheikh Mujib was killed in 1975, there was instability and leadership vacuum in the country. When there was a lot of crying all around, in 1977, Ziaur Rahman took responsibility for the people of Bangladesh and became the president of the country. In order to keep pace with the world, in the context of that time, he gradually formed a political party called ‘BNP’ with people of all kinds of principles, and the people of all over Bengal understood that they had got a patriot, an honest and an ideal leader for the state. But in 1981, he was killed and the dictator Ershad seized power. Once again, the people of the country fell into darkness. In 1982, Khaleda Zia took over the reins of the BNP with her two young sons, taking timely political decisions in the political context of the country in the 1980s. Leaving behind all the greed for power & oppression, she fought day & night from Teknaf to Tetulia, Rupsa to Pathuria in Bangladesh, and earned the title of ‘Uncompromising Leader’ and freed Bangladesh from tyranny for 9 years. Later, she became the first female Prime Minister of Bangladesh through voters. She was the Prime Minister three times from 1991 to 2007.
Due to the conspiracy of local and foreign evil people, Bangladeshi politics has been dark again since 2007. Then inhuman torture came down on all members of the BNP family. For 17 long years, all members of the BNP family were deprived of sleep, murder, imprisonment, Khaleda Zia’s younger son Koko was killed, Tarek Zia was kept out of the country. But she could not compromise Khaleda Zia by imprisonment, oppression, torture, and not treating her when she was sick. In these 16-17 years, the education system has been destroyed the most and corruption was rampant.”
Speakers also added “To save the country from the current situation of the country, Mr. Tarique Rahman has instructed that first of all, the leaders and workers of BNP must leave aside all the arrogance and factionalism and mix with the common people and make a place in their minds. To make this Bangladesh damaged by this tyranny beautiful again, to repair the structure of the country, there is no alternative to 31 points, you have to understand it yourself, the common people must understand it.”
Many BNP leaders and workers including Saiful Islam Nirob, Humayun & others were present at the workshop held at “Colony Bazar Ground”.
