Zillur Rahman, Khulna : A young man’s body was discovered on the rooftop of Khan Super Market in Dumuria upazila of Khulna early Wednesday morning. Locals first spotted the body around 7:00 AM and informed the police.
The deceased has been identified as Mohammad Mahtul Rahman Khan, 35, a resident of Golna village in Dumuria upazila.
According to witnesses, they noticed the body while visiting the market in the morning. Upon receiving the information, Dumuria police arrived at the scene and initiated the recovery process.
Family members of the deceased suspect that he might have been murdered over a business-related dispute. However, no concrete evidence has emerged yet.
Speaking on the matter, Dumuria Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Masudur Rahman said, “We are investigating the cause of death. Further details will be shared after the investigation.”
Liberty News’ local correspondent reports that the body has been sent to Khulna Medical College Hospital morgue for autopsy. Police stated that necessary legal measures will be taken based on the findings of the preliminary investigation.
