A bomb-like object found near Anand Cinema Hall in Farmgate caused panic, but police later confirmed it was a cocktail, which was safely destroyed.
At around 12:45 PM on Saturday, the police’s Bomb Disposal Unit recovered the object after a call from a concerned citizen via emergency services. The object, initially feared to be a bomb, was identified as a cocktail after examination.
Liberty News’ crime correspondent states, Sher-e-Bangla Nagar police station duty officer informed that the bomb-like object was reported at around 12 PM. Upon arrival, police found the device, and the Bomb Disposal Unit safely destroyed it. Officer Golam Azam suggested the object may have been planted to create public fear.
