Inspector General of Police (IGP) Baharul Alam has directed the police superintendents of the border districts of Bangladesh to be alert in the ongoing conflict between India and Pakistan.
He made the direction at the closing and award distribution ceremony of the annual police shooting competition in Gulshan in the capital on Wednesday afternoon.
At the event organized by the Bangladesh Shooting Sports Federation, the IGP told reporters that the police superintendents of the border districts have been asked to be alert so that the security of Bangladesh is not disrupted due to the India-Pakistan clashes and that no militants or terrorists can infiltrate into the country.
Additional IGP Mustafa Kamal, head of the Police Bureau of Investigation (PBI), and other officials were present at the event.
