Brunei High Commissioner to Bangladesh Haji Haris Bin Othman held a meeting with Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami Ameer Shafiqur Rahman on Monday (8 December).
The meeting was held at 9:00 am at the Jamaat chief’s Bashundhara office in Dhaka.
The High Commissioner was accompanied by the First Secretary of the High Commission Rozaimee Abdullah, reads a press release.
According to the press release from Jamaat, the meeting was held in a very cordial and heartfelt atmosphere.
The discussion highlighted Jamaat-e-Islami’s constructive role in various democratic movements, including the 2024 mass uprising.
They expressed optimism that the economic development, progress, and prosperity of the two fraternal countries will be further strengthened in the future.
It is noted that Jamaat Ameer’s Foreign Affairs Adviser, Professor Dr Mahmudul Hasan, was also present at the meeting.
