Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) AMM Nasir Uddin has announced that the Election Commission (EC) is actively preparing to hold the 13th parliamentary election sometime between February and April 2026.
“Our election preparation is in full swing, with a timeline set between February and April next year,” the CEC told reporters on Tuesday while speaking at his office in Agargaon, Dhaka.
The announcement signals the EC’s early and organized approach to ensuring a timely and credible national election. Further details regarding the electoral roadmap, voter list updates, and candidate nomination process are expected to be shared in the coming months.
