Central African Chief visits Bangladesh

General Mamadou Jefferin, Chief of Staff of the Central African Republic, met with Bangladesh Army Chief General Waker-uz-Zaman during a courtesy visit to Dhaka.

The meeting, held at the Bangladesh Army Headquarters in Dhaka on Wednesday, focused on strengthening bilateral relations and exploring future cooperation between the two countries. The Army Chief thanked General Jefferin for the visit and exchanged pleasantries.

Before the meeting, General Jefferin laid a wreath at the Shikha Anirban Memorial and was given a Guard of Honor by a smartly turned-out military contingent. He also planted a sapling at the Army Headquarters.

Liberty News’ national correspondent states that, General Jefferin arrived in Bangladesh on a five-day official visit on February 4, during which he will tour various military installations, including the National Defence College and the Bangladesh Institute of Peace Support Operations Training. The visit is expected to enhance the relationship between Bangladesh and the Central African Republic.
