OpenAI has announced that users no longer need to log in to an account to use ChatGPT’s search engine. This makes it easier to search for information on ChatGPT without requiring an account, much like using Google.

According to OpenAI’s post on social media platform X (formerly Twitter), users can now directly use ChatGPT search from its website without signing up.

This move simplifies the search process and makes ChatGPT a stronger competitor to search engines like Google, which has long dominated the online search market.

What is ChatGPT Search?
Launched in October last year, ChatGPT’s search feature is different from the regular chatbot as it provides real-time, updated information. While the standard ChatGPT model can provide data from a fixed training dataset up to a certain point in time, ChatGPT Search can offer up-to-date details, such as current events, stock prices, weather updates, and more.

Additionally, ChatGPT Search includes the sources and links for the information provided, enabling users to easily verify facts and explore further.

How to Use ChatGPT Search:
To use the feature, simply go to the website and select the “Search” option in the prompt box. The search button will turn blue, allowing users to search for real-time, relevant information. The results will show small boxes with the sources and summaries of the information. Users can click the links in the boxes or click the “Sources” button at the end of the answer to view the full list of sources.

OpenAI continues to advance its artificial intelligence technology, recently launching an AI agent called “Operator” that can perform web-based tasks independently. Additionally, OpenAI has introduced an AI system named “Deep Search” that can conduct multi-faceted research autonomously. These innovations are making it easier for users to find information and increase productivity.
