Chief Adviser of the interim government, Dr. Muhammad Yunus, has arrived in Thailand to attend the 6th BIMSTEC Summit. He landed in Bangkok at 12 PM (local time) on Thursday.
Dr. Yunus departed from Dhaka’s Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport at 9 AM aboard a Bangladesh Airlines flight.
Later in the day, at 3 PM (local time), he is scheduled to deliver a speech at the BIMSTEC Youth Generation Forum Conference.
According to High Representative Dr. Khalilur Rahman, the Chief Adviser will stay in Thailand from April 3-4, accompanied by Foreign Affairs Adviser Md. Touhid Hossain and Foreign Secretary Md. Jasim Uddin—marking their first foreign visit in these roles.
Prior to this, Dr. Yunus visited China from March 26-29, attending the Boao Forum for Asia (BFA) and holding bilateral meetings with Chinese President Xi Jinping and Vice President Han Zheng.
