After participating in the funeral ceremony of Pope Francis at St. Peter’s Basilica in Vatican City, Chief Adviser Dr. Muhammad Yunus has returned to Dhaka.
Chief Adviser Dr. Muhammad Yunus arrived in Dhaka at 3:00 am on Sunday night after attending the funeral of Pope Francis. Earlier, he departed from Rome, the capital of Italy, at around 1:30 pm on Saturday.
On Saturday, Dr. Yunus joined other world leaders at the final rites of Pope Francis at the historic St. Peter’s Basilica. Prior to this, he traveled to Rome from Doha, Qatar, on Friday.
Following the funeral service, Dr. Yunus held meetings with two top leaders of the Catholic Church — Cardinal Silvano Maria Tomasi and Cardinal Jacob Kouvakad — further strengthening interfaith dialogue and relations.
