The interim government’s chief adviser, Dr. Muhammad Yunus, has emphasized that Bangladesh is a player on the global stage, not just for small games. He urged teamwork in building a dream Bangladesh, highlighting the police force as one of the country’s most crucial teams.
During a special meeting with 127 senior police officials at his Tejgaon office on Monday (March 17), Dr. Yunus stressed the importance of collective effort in shaping a new Bangladesh.
“We are not players of a small field; we play on the world stage. People applaud us when Bangladesh enters the field. We have the opportunity to shine, and we must seize it,” he said.
Regarding the role of the police in the new Bangladesh, Dr. Yunus stated, “We must move forward instead of dwelling on the past. We are ready for change, and we will prove it through our actions, not just words. The new Bangladesh Police will be an example for all, earning admiration for its work.”
Liberty News’ national correspondent states that he further emphasized that the police force holds immense power within its structured framework. “If we channel this strength correctly, we can bring real change. It’s not about a single adviser giving orders; it’s about teamwork. Among all teams in Bangladesh, the police force is one of the most important,” he added.
